SB4

United Fort Worth aims to formally draw the City of Fort Worth into existing litigation against Senate Bill 4 – the misnamed “sanctuary cities” law.

The litigation is already supported by major Texas cities including Dallas, Austin, Houston and San Antonio. Fort Worth is the only one of Texas’ 5 largest cities that hasn’t joined the lawsuit.

Why litigation?

SB4 is unconstitutional and impacts all aspects of life within Fort Worth. It legalizes racial profiling. Places undue burden on police. Costs local taxpayers. Hurts the economy. And threatens military members who aren’t naturalized citizens. Fort Worth needs to join the litigation against SB4 so it will have a legally binding effect here.
